About Us

When Hobbyland opened in 1953, people absolutely loved the family-friendly atmosphere. The depth of knowledge and love of hobbies that the entire staff shared. Not to mention the excitement thety felt just by walking in the store and dreaming about their next creation. Not a lot has changed since then. And that is most definitely by design. The Kehoe Family, who purchased Hobbyland in 1968, made a simple observation: if you help people develop their passion for hobbies, are there to help feed this passion and answer any questions, and continually provide all the supplies and ideas your customers need – there's little need for them to go anywhere else.

Today, Hobbyland has two locations to serve Columbus, Ohio and an eBay store to serve the rest of the world. All three locations are managed very carefully to make sure we always stay close to the principles that have made us a destination for nearly 60 years. Our goal is to provide our customers not only with the materials and tools to create or maintain whatever your hobby may be, but the knowledge of all of our employees who share the same enthusiasm and love for hobbies. We are here to serve you and assist you every step of the way – whether it be building a model, learning to build or fly a radio control airplane, or even creating your first train layout. We look forward to seeing you, or meeting you, very soon.
